Role of business in creating and supporting Digital Citizens

Many Governments feel a need to take full responsibility when trying to move society towards more digital solutions and when digitizing the public sector. Very often Government thus both initiates and fully finances infrastructure and key elements of digitization. However, it need not be so. Examples from Denmark and Norway – some of the most digitized countries in the world – show that the private sector can be leveraged to initiate, lead and even finance core elements of digitization. Key levers are public-private partnerships and regulatory frameworks that allow for a collaborative private sector.”
