Cross-border eID and Trust Services between the EU and 3rd Countries

The discussion panel organised by the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership will address the question of how to implement the European Union’s eIDAS Regulation “on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions” in the Eastern Partnership countries. The discussion will explore how to build a trusted environment for the mutual recognition and validation of e-Signatures and focus on issues arising from eIDAS’ Article 14 which requires separate agreements for cross-border eIDAS implementation between the EU and third countries.
